PINK PAPER ONLINE SEES MORE FREQUENT DELIVERY AND HIGHER WEB TRAFFIC
Five months after announcing suspension of The Pink Paper in print Millivres Prowler Ltd (MPL) are pleased to announce a rapid increase in Pink Paper web traffic and online advertising income.
When comparing Google stats from June 2009 to November 2009 PinkPaper.com has seen its traffic more than double in some areas of the site. News for example now attracts 26,000 more unique monthly visits than it did in June and now contributes to two thirds of the site’s page views. Online advertising income in June was only 35% of what was November’s income. In June 28,000 unique visitors generated a more modest 92,000 page impressions. Overall Pink Paper now generates almost 60,000 monthly visits of which 48,000 are unique visitors, generating an average of 150,000 page views per month. Pink Xtra sign-ups have also increase since June by 195%.
The success of this migration from a 40,000 free printed publication to 48,000 online users can be attributed three main factors:
1. Re-organization of editorial resources to focus on the delivery of higher frequency news online;
2. the introduction of Pink Paper Xtra the weekly e-newspaper, which has enabled MPL to get visitors to sign-up to receive their weekly paper direct to their inbox and has driven them to the site for more information.
3. Pink Paper providing a newsfeed to other LGBT websites too.
Editor-In-Chief, Tris Reid-Smith commented: “We are really pleased with the migration from the printed version to our website and weekly e-newspaper and hope to increase the newspaper frequency further in the next few months, thus ensuring Pink Paper will continue to focus on delivering the best news, information, advice, entertainment features and community interaction via its web sites and e-newspaper Pink Paper Xtra. ”
Pink Paper will continue to develop advertising solutions via its daily online platforms on www.pinkpaper.com and its weekly Pink Paper Xtra e-newsletter.
