GT: OLLY MURS EXCLUSIVE
After months of staring at those trousers during The X Factor, GT magazine comes face to face with snake-hips himself, Olly Murs, to discover more about his “rough and ragged” gay appeal.
On his friendship with openly bisexual X Factor contestant Danyl Johnston:
“He was one of the people I was closest to in the house. We used to play gay chicken together! Gay chicken is this game where you lean in to kiss someone and you wait to see who turns away first. We were leaning in and laughing, but then Danyl actually closed his eyes!”
Discussing his attitude towards gay men and appealing to a gay audience:
“What is there to hide at the end of the day? If you’re gay, you’re gay. I’ve always been really open minded. I don’t judge people. And anyway, I find myself flirting with gay guys all the time! The ‘you can’t have me’ thing!”
On his own sexuality:
“I’ve always loved being with women, but being with a guy is something I’ve never delved into. I think most straight guys have that moment in life where they think about it. You know what I mean. Everyone gets curious.”
And his views regarding the public fascination with his manhood:
“I was fortunate that the suits they gave me on the show were tight around the midriff. And a few of the girls mentioned it in my kiss and tells… I’m no 12 incher, but I’m not embarrassed.”
March’s issue of GT Magazine is on sale 24 February and also features exclusives with American Idol’s Adam Lambert, Desperate Housewives’ Shawn Pyfrom, and Kim Cattrall, plus plastic surgery disasters and self sucking: How far would you go to find satisfaction?
